I’m Gábor Schnierer, a structural engineer and the founder of GRevity Point. My work has always been rooted in the realities of engineering teams under pressure: teams trying to deliver quality work with limited time, uneven support, and too many friction points. That experience shaped the work I do across Revit support, education, custom add-ins, and Rebarkit — all built to make engineering work more reliable, more practical, and easier to sustain.

Where this started

The work grew out of real project pressure. The frustrating part was not the engineering itself; it was diving into projects blind, without the right tools at hand.

Cast-in-situ reinforced concrete

On a large reinforced concrete project, we pushed both the team and Revit's worksharing capacity hard to meet the deadline. We delivered, but too much of the effort went into repetitive chores rather than engineering.

The structure had around 80 beams, 50 walls, and 30 column types. Each needed at least three views, with crop regions adjusted, a view template assigned, instance parameters set, and the views placed on sheets.

It was a clear candidate for automation: invest once in a few focused scripts, then reuse them on every similar project instead of rebuilding the same setup by hand.

Precast concrete shop drawings

When we started delivering precast shop drawings from Revit, the workflow was almost entirely manual. For example, one team member had to configure schedule formatting sheet by sheet because that version of Revit did not support view templates for schedules.

Over the following years, Revit matured, the team became more experienced, and we built a custom plugin for the workflow. Our project data records the combined result:

The gain came from all three factors together, but purpose-built tooling was a real part of it. That experience eventually led to GRevity Point and Rebarkit.

What I work on now

I work mainly on practical Revit problems: improving day-to-day detailing workflows, supporting teams in Revit, and building focused tools where the need is real. Rebarkit is the public-facing result of that work, but the same approach also enables my support, education, and custom add-in projects.
